Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today, diplomatically addressed a recent statement by former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad which stated that he was alone in stating the truth about problems faced by Najib's administration.

In his keynote at Invest Malaysia 2015 held in Mandarin Oriental earlier, Najib said:

“There has been some talk lately in Malaysia about how it can be lonely telling the truth. Well, I can tell you that I don’t feel lonely standing here in front you all today!"

“And when so many respected international bodies, individuals and institutions have confirmed their belief in Malaysia’s success, and have honoured us by rating us so highly, I don’t feel lonely at all – in fact, I feel in very good company!,” added Najib.

“And I am equally confident that, given the well-known stability and growth of Malaysia under this government, I will be able to look forward to the pleasure of your company both next year and for years to come,” he said.

Dr Mahathir had recently expressed his disappointment on his blog (www.chedet.cc) citing he has been alone in his critics towards Najib's leadership.

He was quoted saying the question concerning the debt-stricken 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) remains unanswered and many quarters are left in the dark on the murder of Mongolian model-translator, Altantuya Shaariibuu in 2006.
