Air quality in Banting remained unhealthy as at 1pm, with the air pollutant index at 106, up from 103 in the morning.

According to the Department of Environment portal, 40 areas had moderate API readings, including Putrajaya (99), Nilai and Cheras (92), Bukit Rambai (86), Port Dickson (85), Port Klang (82) and Melaka City (81).

An API reading of 0 to 50 indicates good air quality; 51 to 100, moderate; 101 to 200, unhealthy; 201 to 300, very unhealthy and 300 and above, hazardous.
