According to a Bernama tweet, allegedly kidnapped British boy Freddie Joseph, 20 months, has been found at Titiwangsa Lake this afternoon.

Kuala Lumpur CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah has confirmed with Astro AWANI that Freddie is safe

Ku said the baby was stolen by a man and a woman at 6.10pm.

"During the incident, his mother Sarah Joseph,38, had gone into the house after hearing some noise.
"She came out and saw a man grabbing her son and lunged at him screaming. A struggle ensued," he told reporters at a press conference today.

As a result of the struggle, Sarah was injured in the right wrist.

Ku said police believed the man came with a woman in a Toyota Camry and that Sarah, a single parent, knew the woman.

"Our investigation is geared towards personal problems of the baby's mother. However, there is also possibility it was for ransom money."

He said police will release photographs of the baby to the public to facilitate a search of the suspects.
The case is being investigated under Section 3 (1) of the Kidnapping Act 1961.
