Four men, including three Myanmar nationals, were killed while seven others were seriously injured after a car they were travelling in skidded and turned turtle at Km134.1 of the East Coast Expressway near Temerloh early today.

The dead were the driver of the car, Mohd Azuwan Che Hashim, 30, from Tanah Merah, Kelantan and three Myanmar nationals without personal documents, Pahang acting traffic staff officer ASP Zainalabidin Othman said.

He said all those injured were also Myanmar nationals who were without personal documents.

Mohd Azuwan was ferrying 10 Myanmar nationals allegedly from Rantau Panjang, Kelantan to Kuala Lumpur when the accident occurred at 4.29 am, Zainalabidin said when contacted.

He said Mohd Azuwan and the three Myanmar nationals were thrown off the car and died at the scene after it was believed to have veered to the left and overturned.

The dead and injured victims were taken to the Sultan Ahmad Shah Hospital, Temerloh.
