Dine-in at shops allowed, cross-district movement prohibited... among SOPs of CMCO

KUALA LUMPUR: The National Security Council (MKN) has held a special meeting on Tuesday morning to discuss the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) for Selangor, and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

Senior Minister (Defence Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said after the discussion, several SOPs have been set and must be complied with by the residents in the affected areas.

The following are the SOPs set as announced by Ismail Sabri on Tuesday:

1) Police will set up roadblocks in the areas of infection with the help of other agencies including the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM).

2) Cross-district movement involving areas subject to the CMCO is prohibited but there are exceptions to those working outside the district.

3) Cross-district movement is allowed involving emergency cases, funeral arrangements outside the district but need to submit a movement application to the police.

4) Dine-in allowed at restaurants and shops but only two people are allowed at a time.

5) Congregational prayers allowed in mosques but limited to only six congregants selected by the mosque management. The same applies to house of worships of other religions.

6) All leisure activities are prohibited. E-sport type sports, non-contact, outdoor activities sports not exceeding 10 people are allowed. Sports events with attendance of spectators are prohibited.

7) Entertainment activities including nightclubs are prohibited.
