The Dewan Rakyat tonight passed the Supply Bill 2016 after it was debated since Oct 26.

The bill was passed by a verbal vote witnessing more vocal support compared with votes of dissent.

Earlier, Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah presented the bill for a third reading which was seconded by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom.

The bill was tabled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak on Oct 23, and was approved at the policy level on Nov 16.

It was then debated at the committee stage for nine days beginning November 17 before being approved at 10.35pm before Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee.

The bill seeks to provide a total of RM267.22 billion for government expenditure next year.

The Dewan sits again tomorrow.
