Day nine of the ongoing Ops Daulat to flush out the remaining Sulu gunmen in Sabah progresses with the police finding two more bodies of the intruders. Here are the happenings of today:

- The two soldiers who were killed in the incident following the intrusion by armed terrorists in Lahad Datu were buried in their respective hometowns in Pasir Mas.

- Defence minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced that Ahmad Hurairah Ismail, 24, and Ahmad Farhan Ruslan, 21, have been promoted to the rank of full Corporal.

- Armed Forces chief Tan Sri Zulkifeli Mohd Zin said at least 12 Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) and several helicopters would be summoned to further strengthen the security forces in the ongoing Ops Daulat.

- He also said the security forces has killed four Sulu intruders in yeterday’s gunbattle in Sungai Nyamuk and they found two of their bodies today.

- Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar said he has instructed the Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib to utilise the human resources from the police’s many departments including the criminal investigation department (CID), narcotics and logistics.

- Meanwhile, Ismail also said the teenage boy who was shot dead near a bush on March 10 was actually the son of one of the man detained around the area.

- Also, the Inquirer.net reported that Jamalul Kiram III has ruled out any possibilities of pulling his armed forces from Sabah.

- The Philippines Navy said it had detained 35 suspected Filipino militants on Wednesday as they sought to sail home from a military offensive against them in the Malaysian state of Sabah.
