Datuk Dzulkifli Ahmad begins his term as the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) chief today.

He was welcomed by MACC's top officials upon arriving at the commission's headquarters here at 8am.

Among the Commission’s officials present were deputy commissioner (Management and Professionalism) Datuk Seri Mohd Jamidan Abdullah, Security Division officer Datuk Alias Salim, and Investigation Division director Datuk Azam Baki.

Prior to his new appointment as MACC chief commissioner, taking over from Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed, Dzulkifli served in the Attorney-General's Chambers as National Revenue Recovery Enforcement Team director.

Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Ali Hamsa on Friday announced Dzulkifli's appointment effective Aug 1, 2016 till July 31, 2021.

Meanwhile, Abu Kassim would would be serving in another capacity, as Integrity consultant at Universiti Teknologi Mara’s (UiTM) Law Faculty.
