Sixty-five drug addicts aged between 20 and 60 years, including a father who brought his two-year-old daughter to a drug addict hideout in Tanjung Lumpur, were arrested in an anti-drug raid, dubbed 'Ops Sarang' yesterday.

Kuantan police chief Abdul Aziz Salleh said the man was found to have left his daughter alone on his motorcycle to get his supply.

"We rescued the girl and handed her over to her family," he said.

He said the operation, which began at 3am and ended at 6pm yesterday, was mounted by 45 policemen from the Kuantan police headquarters.

Police also identified several drug pushers who had been active in the area, he said, adding that a suspect of a house break-in case was also arrested during the raid.
