The Johor Government, together with the Information Department, Friday launched a smart phone application and website in conjunction with the Coronation of the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum
Sultan Iskandar.

Chairman of the Johor Education, Information Entrepreneurial Development and Co-operative Committee, Md Jais Sarday, said as the majority of the public used the smart phone, the application and website would make it easy for people to get quick information.

"The public is very familiar with Apps. This will enable them to find out the latest developments concerning the Coronation Ceremony," he told reporters after launching the application and website on the ceremony, here Friday.

Md Jais said android and iphone users could download the application on the 'Coronation HRH Sultan Ibrahim' free of charge and visit the website kemahkotaan.johor.gov.my.

He said the contents of the application and website included the history of the Johor Sultanate, the family tree and the ceremony for the coronation.

Md Jais said he hoped that through the application and website, Johoreans would not only know the history of the state but also understand the Johor Sultanate better.
