The Kota Kinabalu City Council (DBKK) is organising a four-day Chinese New Year Carnival 2013 starting February 3 at the Lintasan Deasoka and Jalan Gaya here.

According to a statement from the DBKK, this eighth carnival organised with cooperation from the Api-Api assemblyman's office is scheduled to be officiated by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman at 8pm on February 3.

Some 600 stalls will be set up on Jalan Gaya from 6pm to 11pm, offering local products, Chinese New Year necessities, food and drinks and more.

Meanwhile, Jalan Gaya and Jalan Bandaran will be closed from 6pm to 11pm while the parking lot along Jalan Padang will also be closed during the same period.

The parking lot at Lintasan Deasoka will be inaccessible from January 28 to February 8, 2013, to facilitate the event," the statement added.
