Two men and a baby girl were killed, while three others were seriously injured when the car they were travelling in skidded and crashed into a signboard at KM240 of the North-South Expressway (north bound) today.

State Traffic Police Chief Supt Abdul Aziz Ali said the crash occurred at about 4.45 pm when the car driver was believed to have lost control of the wheel, causing it to skid and crashed into the signboard.

He said the impact caused the death of car driver, Mohd Fauzan Salleh, 28, of Taman Muhibbah, Gemencheh; Yunus Salem Angran, 21, from Sungai Besar, Selangor, and Mohd Fauzan's eight-month-old daughter, Qistinabatrisya.

They died on the spot and the bodies were sent to Tampin Hospital for post mortem, he added.

As for the injured, he said, they were sent to Tuanku Jaafar Hospital for treatment.

However, the identities of the injured victims had yet to be ascertained.
