KUALA LUMPUR:UMNO President, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has denied insulting Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on the Prime Minister's Facebook account.

He said that some people had used his name and profile picture on Facebook which was allegedly his to leave rude comments on the social site.

"I vehemently deny the slander.

"I believe there are certain parties who deliberately leave rude comments using Facebook accounts.

“It used my name and profile picture with malicious intent or edit the image of Facebook comments, as if I wrote the comment with the intention of insulting Tan Sri Muhyiddin," he said in a post on his Facebook account.

In fact, Zahid stressed that such actions were far from the practices and principles of his life.

"We need to be polite to all despite having different political stance.

"I urge those who did so to stop it," he added.


Zahid said in a post on his Facebook account, that his name and profile picture was used with malicious intent, to edit the image of Facebook comments, as if he wrote the comment with the intention of insulting Muhyiddin.
