Taylor Swift says the response to her latest album "Red" has been "unbelievable."
The American singer was speaking at Westfield London shopping mall today, where she was switching on the Christmas lights.
Speaking after the big moment, Swift said "I had hoped that my fans would get what I was doing there; that they would embrace it and the fact that they celebrated that and 1.2 million of them went out and bought it the first week and it became my first U.K. number one album, it is absolutely unbelievable."
The Grammy-winner rewarded her U.K. fans at the event by performing songs including her hit from the album, "We Are Never Getting Back Together."
When asked how she would be celebrating Christmas, Swift said that she's not given it much thought.
"I have no idea. All I planned for this year was releasing the record and then I just stopped," she explained.
"I hadn't planned anything after that so I know my family and I will be together but I don't know if we'll be at home in Nashville or if we'll be on the road or like go on vacation or something, so we'll see."
So what would the singer's perfect Christmas be like?
"I think my ideal Christmas would be in Nashville with my family and there would be like a fire in the fireplace," she said.
"My favorite thing about Christmas these days is that my brother who's younger -- he's like a few years younger than me -- he always wraps presents in the worst possible way with like trash bags and duct tape and like rope, whatever he can find, and it's hilarious how bad these gift wrapping jobs are. It's amazing, so I look forward to seeing how he's like packaged the presents."
