British-Australia actress Naomi Watts revealed she had a near-death experience while filming ‘The Impossible’.

During a scene, Watts was strapped to a chair as water rushed over here. She nearly lost her breath as the technical crew struggled to switch off the machine that controlled the volume of water.

The incident reignited her fear of water as she almost drowned while swimming in Australia several years ago.

Watts, 44, described the movie as the most challenging film she has ever done which tested her emotions, mental and physical capabilities.

‘The Impossible’ was released in Malaysia on January 17.
