Three notorious Wild West gunmen make their appearances in the reveal trailer for "Call of Juarez: Gunslinger," marking a return to old time shootin' for "Dead Island" developer Techland.

John Wesley Hardin, Billy the Kid and Jesse James are all namechecked, providing a late-1800s context for the gravelly tones of mysterious bounty hunter Silas Greaves.

Rockstar's 2010 release "Red Dead Redemption" might have raised the standard for cowboy & western games, with "Call of Juarez: The Cartel" opting for a modern-day setting in 2011, but "Gunslinger" can at least boast a first person perspective and some historical cache.

Publisher Ubisoft has not announced a release date though is encouraging would-be players to visit a Facebook page and try the game at the PAX East expo in Boston, Massachusetts, March 22-24.
