DONALD Glover has been confirmed to join the cast of "Spider-Man: Homecoming", reports Deadline.

The news sees the actor, writer and musician join Tom Holland as Spiderman, but it is unsure yet what role Glover himself will play.

The film will also star Michael Keaton as The Vulture, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, and a host of other cast members including Zendaya, Michael Barbieri, Kenneth Choi and Tony Revolori.

Glover has previously worked as a writer on "30 Rock" and starred in "The Martian", "Magic Mike XXL" and "The Lazarus Effect". He is also a hip hop artist who records under the name Childish Gambino.
