UMNO's Tanjung Keramat state assemblyman Datuk Shahelmey Yahya is against Sabah BN's decision to withdraw support from GRS chairman Datuk Hajiji Noor as Chief Minister.

Sabah UMNO and BN has announced that they are withdrawing their support towards GRS Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as Chief Minister.

Ismail Sabri today said that his government is always prepared to face any possibility, including holding the GE15 early, should the PN wish to withdraw support for the government.

Umno supreme council member Puad Zarkashi has urged BN lawmakers to withdraw their support from Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.

He said this is because the party's demands have not been met, which are making the Employee Provident Fund's (EPF) i-Sinar programme more accessible and an automatic loan moratorium.

"Just withdraw support from Muhyiddin as prime minister. This might seem like kamikaze. But it's not wrong, it's for the people."

UMNO's Bandar Baharu assemblyman Datuk Norsabrina Mohd Noor has denied allegations that she and another assemblyman from the party will withdraw their support for the Kedah state government.

Ahmad Zahid today repeated the decision of the UMNO Supreme Council to withdraw support for the PN government and Muhyiddin as the Prime Minister.

Muhyiddin said the party was now focused on issues concerning the people, besides also wanting to steer clear from conflicts at all levels.

The UMNO General Assembly 2020 today agreed to give the party president and supreme council the mandate to determine when the party should withdraw its support for Perikatan Nasional (PN).

Tajuddin said Ahmad Jazlan's action was the catalyst for the change in UMNO MPs.

Prof Dr Sivamurugan said the coalition under PN still has a large number compared to the opposition.

As a party with 38 Members of Parliament (MPs), PKR could withdraw support if Dr Mahathir refused to keep his promise.
