The initial phase will see 10,000 baht distributed in cash to 14.5 million welfare card holders and disabled people.

The government will establish a special committee to look into the scandal involving Global Ikhwan Service and Business Holdings (GISB). Former members of the group will be summoned by authorities to assist in the probe.

Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISBH) denied claims of sodomy and sexual assault after 402 children from 20 of its welfare homes were rescued by police.
