The participation of UMNO and BN in the Unity Government is one of the issues raised by the UMNO Youth, Wanita and Puteri chiefs, in their policy speeches at the general assembly of the party's wings.

Sabah UMNO and BN has announced that they are withdrawing their support towards GRS Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as Chief Minister.

Ismail Sabri today advised UMNO and BN candidates in the GE15 to always display a spirit of solidarity and to preserve the good name of the party.

"If we accept that Zahid Hamidi's statement is true and is based on his position as Umno and BN chief, this means Muhyiddin can no longer stress he has a solid majority to be the PM," he said.  

Yesterday, Muhyiddin stressed he was still in power and challenged Anwar to prove his claim.

UMNO and BN are not bound by the methods or approaches of other parties, Shahril said.

UMNO and BN decided to nominate Ismail Sabri because he was "friendly" to all parties.

UMNO does not practice 'barbaric' politics, hatred and revenge, said its president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
