Higher penalty for tax defaulters beginning next year
Starting next year, those who fail to pay their taxes will face a 100 percent penalty as opposed to the current penalty of 45 percent.

IRB says tax defaulters may soon be listed under CCRIS
Tax defaulters will not only be banned from leaving the country, but may be listed under the CCRIS for intentionally delaying tax payments.
