Perikatan Nasional’s Supply (Reallocation of Appropriated Expenditure) Bill 2020 was passed this afternoon after 111 MPs voted in favour.  

There are 222 MPs, which means exactly half of the MPs voted in favour of the bill.

Earlier today, when debating the Budget 2020 Reallocation Bill, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who is now an opposition MP, slammed the Perikatan government’s spending habits.

The Dewan Negara today approved the Supply (Reallocation of Appropriated Expenditure) Bill 2020 amounting to RM7.18 billion.

Though the meeting was held for only two days, the sixth week of the Dewan Rakyat sitting was arguably one of the most significant so far.

Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun explained the confusion that occurred yesterday when he called for a 10-minute recess before the division vote for the Supply Bill 2020.

The Supply (Reallocation of Appropriated Expenditure) Bill 2020 was today approved at the policy stage through bloc voting at the Dewan Rakyat sitting.

Opposition members in Parliament today called for the august house to reject the Supply (Reallocation of Appropriated Expenditure) Bill 2020.

The Supply (Reallocation of Appropriated Expenditure) Bill 2020 has been tabled for first reading in the Dewan Rakyat today to apply for additional expenditure for services this year.
