The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has prepared accommodation, food and toilets to serve mourners from across the country who will attend the royal cremation ceremony at Sanam Luang.

The government expected about 250,000 people would attend the ceremony for the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who passed away a year ago.

The late King, aged 89, affectionately referred to as the "People's King", died at Siriraj Hospital, here on Oct 13 last year, after 70 years of reign at the throne.
