The Election Commission (EC) has been urged to extend the postal voter registration period for the Johor state election to enable individuals abroad who are eligible to vote to exercise their rights.

The move to extend the registration period was due to several constraints faced by clubs during the COVID-19 period, especially involving the registration of import players.

The period for late registration of births will be extended from 42 to 60 days to allow parents or single mothers in confinement to care for the baby prior to appearing before the registrar of births.
