#KiniNews: 'COVID-19 still among us, barbershops to remain closed'
The Health Ministry wants to see the outcome of the conditional movement control order (CMCO) first before advising Putrajaya on reopening more economic sectors.
Its director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said they are monitoring the situation and would be able to tell in two weeks' time.
"We have given relaxation through the conditional MCO which started on May 4, and hopefully in two weeks, we will monitor the progress to see if there is an increase in the number of new cases or otherwise.
"Before more economic sectors can be reopened, especially those like hair styling services, we need to monitor the situation before advising the prime minister," he told a press conference in Putrajaya.

#KiniNews: Malaysia reports more recoveries than new cases
Malaysia has reported more recoveries in the past 24 hours than new COVID-19 cases.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 166 recoveries were recorded, while the number of new cases detected stood at 156.
This puts the total number of cases at 4,119, with 2,567 of those cases still active.
Two new deaths were also reported, bringing the death toll to 65.

#KiniNews: 208 new infections, over 4,000 arrested for violating MCO
There have been 4,189 arrests and 1,449 charges made for violating the movement control order (MCO), since it started on March 18.
On Monday, 742 people were detained, 583 on Tuesday, and 562 yesterday.
Meanwhile, the country recorded 208 new infections as of noon today, said Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
This is the second time the number of new cases has exceeded 200 and is the second-highest increase to date.
