Malaysia had recorded a double-digit number of daily new cases for the past 21 days.

Dr Ismail said among the reasons for their deaths were due to septic shock, tuberculosis, severe pneumonia, lung infection, dengue.

The department had been screening foreigners for the infection even before the Movement Control Order (MCO) came into force.

The Home Ministry has been urged to expedite the RM200 incentive payment to its enforcement officers assigned in the field and at immigration depots.
