France's top diplomat has told his Egyptian counterpart that the French families who lost loved ones in the May 19 EgyptAir crash are impatient for answers

Aircraft debris believed to have come from an EgyptAir crash in May has washed up on a beach near Tel Aviv, an official in the Israeli premier's office said Friday.

The search vessel John Lethbridge "retrieved all the human remains that were mapped at the crash location," the Egyptian Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee said.

EgyptAir said Monday advance compensation payments of $25,000 will be offered to families of the 66 people killed when one of its planes crashed into the Mediterranean last month.

The device was found broken into pieces but the salvage experts managed to retrieve the recorder's crucial memory unit, it said in a statement.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Sunday no theory was being favoured on why EgyptAir MS804 plunged into the Mediterranean.

No theory on the cause of the EgyptAir crash has been ruled out, after revelations of smoke in the cabin minutes before the disaster.

A European Space Agency satellite has spotted a possible oil slick near the site where a missing EgyptAir plane is believed to have crashed.

A body part, seats and luggage were among the objects discovered on Friday.

France's foreign minister said Friday there was "absolutely no indication" what had caused the crash of an EgyptAir flight, despite Egyptian authorities saying terrorism was the most likely cause.

Thursday's crash of an EgyptAir passenger plane near a Greek island en route from Paris to Cairo with 66 people aboard remains unexplained.

"When will we get tough, smart and vigilant? Great hate and sickness!"

There are no immediate reports of any debris found yet and investigations are ongoing to determine if it was mechanical failure or a bomb.

The plane carried out a 90-degree turn to the left and a 360-degree turn to the right, falling from 37,000 to 15,000 feet, Panos Kammenos says.
