Justice Hadhariah said Sam Ke Ting's conviction for reckless driving cannot stand because the charge preferred on Sam was defective.

Previously, the late former Federal Court judge Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram was appointed to lead Sam's defence team in her appeal.

The court also ordered both parties to submit their written submissions by March 16 and March 17 for the final case management.

Another case management has been fixed for clerk Sam Ke Ting's appeal against her conviction and sentence for reckless driving that killed eight teen cyclists in 2017.

The court today also allowed Sam's application for leave to appeal against the decision of the Johor Bahru High Court made last April 13.
