Najib Razak has failed in his bid to adduce new evidence in his SRC case to nullify the trial that saw him sentenced to 12-year jail and a fine of RM210 million.

The prosecution is objecting to Najib's application to adduce new evidence in his appeal, contending that it was only done to delay the appeal decision.

Najib's application to allow new evidence in his appeal over his jail sentence and a fine for misappropriating SRC funds, will be heard a day before the Court of Appeal deliver its verdict.

Najib has applied to the Court of Appeal to allow new evidence to be adduced in his appeal over his 12 years' jail sentence and a fine of RM210 million for misappropriating RM42 million SRC funds.
