Muslims should take advantage from the month of Ramadan to inculcate the spirit of solidarity in the noble agenda for fulfilling religious obligations, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The Prime Minister said in his Ramadan message that in addition, the month of Ramadan was also for Muslims to strengthen ties with Allah swt, as well as friendly relations with family members and the community.
"Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah), we express our gratefulness to Allah swt, for with His blessings we are again able to face the noble month of Ramadan al-Mubarak.
"Truly, we have always waited for the presence of Ramadan 1435 Hijrah. This is the time for us to take the opportunity to appreciate the sweetness of fulfilling our obligations to Allah swt," he said in his message in his blog www.1malaysia.com.my.
The Prime Minister said the commitment to solidarity must also be maintained with the sense of submission to Allah in the effort to turn Malaysia into a modern and progressive Muslim nation with a developed nation status.
He also called on all Malaysians regardless of race, language and religion to take the Federal Constitution as a unifier and guide for harmony just as the 'Sahifah Madinah' had united the multi-racial residents of Madinah City in the past.
"Ramadan is a month for patience and calmness. A month that is full of blessings and forgiveness from Allah swt. Hopefully the blessings from Ramadan will provide the catalyst for solidarity and prosperity to continue the national transformation mission," he said.
