Muslims in the state must take advantage of Ramadan to foster the spirit of solidarity among Muslims as a pure agenda.

Sabah Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan said Muslims must also take the opportunity to boost their devotion to God and family ties during the holy month.

"Don't let the holy month pass us by without us benefitting. As such, we must give out more alms, perform the tarawih prayers, read the Qur'an and live by its contents in our daily lives," he said at a breaking-the-fast with orphans at Tawau FM, here, last night.

Tawfiq said Muslims must increase their utterance of thankfulness at the bounty from God and take the opportunity to appreciate their worship and devotion to God.

"I hope Ramadan is still the month to create success after success, other than uniting the hearts of Muslims," he said.

Earlier, Tawau Broadcasting manager Mohd Azrry Abdullah said the programme was implemented each year to embellish the month of Ramadan and boost ties between leaders and society.
