A deep obsession for Upin & Ipin animated characters did not stop a newly circumcised boy from braving through the crowd at the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agro-Tourism (MAHA 16) International Show to meet the 'twins' at Kampung Durian Runtuh.
The antics of seven-year-old Salahuddeen Samsudin as he arrived at the fair in batik sarong in a baby stroller was so amusing that visitors and MAHA staff cannot help but stop to pose for a photograph with the child.
According to his mother Nur Shahlawati Ruslan, 35, her second child had always wanted to visit MAHA to have a feel of Upin & Ipin's adventure in Kampung Durian Runtuh.
"I feel so sorry to see him cooped up at home during the school holidays, so when he (Salahuddeen) suggested going to MAHA we obliged.
"Fortunately the baby stroller we had is still in good condition and he did not mind being seen in a batik sarong," she told Bernama when met at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), here today.
According to Nur Shahlawati though the entrance fee per child was RM25 it was a worthwile experience to be at Upin & Ipin's Kampung Durian Runtuh as it could cultivate interest in farming among children.
The Upin & Ipin special segment is one of the main attractions at MAHA 2016 which is being held from Dec 1 to Dec 11 with the theme 'Our Food, Our Future'. - BERNAMA
