As BlackBerry fans in Malaysia gear up for the release of the all new BlackBerry 10 on February 20, local website - Malaysian Wireless - believes the smart phone will be priced at RM2,188.
Rumours about the price triggered various reactions among technology reviewers.
Many believe the price is unreasonable considering the competitiveness of the smartphone industry.
Previously, many predicted the latest BlackBerry phone will be sold under RM2,000 in order to have an edge in the market again.
Maxis will be the first to offer the device in Malaysia followed by other telecommunication operators.
A price war is expected to happen as the usage and demand of BlackBerry in Malaysia is still quite high.
