Datuk Seri Najib said this is a post-election budget which fulfils promises made during the election.
Elaborating on one of the key thrusts of the Budget, Datuk Seri Najib said in order to strengthen the country's financial management, Malaysia needs to transform its civil service first.
The budget outlined five main thrusts: invigorating economic activity, strengthening fiscal management, inculcating excellence in human capital, intensifying urban and rural development, and ensuring the wellbeing of the people.
