Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif was suprised at being nominated to contest for the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) deputy president's post.
The menteri besar, who is also Terengganu Football Association president, however, said his priority would remain with the people of Terengganu and that he wouldn't want his duties as the menteri besar to be affected if he was elected as FAM deputy president.
"I have yet to decide (on contesting), give me some time to really think about this so that the decision will be the best for all, especially for the people of Terengganu.
"I didn't even know who nominated me.
"We have to really look into the real situation before making any decision," he told reporters after watching the football match between Terengganu and the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium here Friday night.
The election of office bearers will be held during FAM's 53rd congress on March 25. - BERNAMA
