Malaysia's top women golfer, Kelly Tan lived to her top billing as the best Malaysian finisher of the 2015 Sime Darby LPGA Malaysian Golf Championship which ended at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club in Bukit Kiara, today.

The 21-year-old professional finished in 61st spot with a total score of five-over 289 over the four rounds.

"I know I could have done a lot better but I still can walk away from this week on a positive note, definitely," said Kelly, who will be taking a two-month break from competition.

"I'm actually done for the year which was really exciting. I'm going to stay out of golf for at least a month and go for a family trip in two weeks' time. My birthday is next week, so I'm excited," said Kelly, who will turn 22 on Oct 26.

The other four Malaysians in the 75-player competition ended at the bottom of the leaderboard with Michelle Koh in 70th placing, Cindy Lee-Pridgen (71st), Nur Durriyah Damian (72nd) and Ainil Johani Abu Bakar (74th).
