Chong Wei leads men's singles seeding

World number one and Malaysia's badminton ace, Datuk Lee Chong Wei is the top seeds in the men's singles for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) said the seedings are based on today's world rankings for the confirmed Olympics qualifiers and will be used for the draw on July 26.
The men's singles draw will consist of 41 players and the women's singles consist of 40, divided into 13 groups and each of group have one seed.
While, the draw in doubles will have four groups of four pairs which each group will include a seeded pair.
Chong Wei, 33, who was the runner up in the last two Olympics, is followed by his arch-rivals Chen Long and Lin Dan of China, who would be the second and third seeded, respectively.
The other men's singles seeds are Denmark's Viktor Axelsen and Jan Jorgensen, Taiwan's Chou Tien Chen, Indonesia's Tommy Sugiarto, South Korea's Son Wan Ho, India's K. Srikanth, Hong Kong's Hu Yun, Germany's Marc Zwiebler and England's Rajiv Ouseph.
Carolina Marin of Spain heads a competitive field ahead of two Chinese, Wang Yihan and defending Olympic champion Li Xuerui in the women's singles category.
Other women's seeded are Thailand's Ratchanok Intanon and Porntip Buranaprasestsuk, India's Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu, Japan's Nozomi Okuhara and Akane Yamaguchi, South Korea's Sung Ji Hyun and Bae Yeon Ju, Taiwan's Tai Tzu Ying and Kirsty Gilmour of Great Britain.
In the doubles categories, there are only four in each of the three doubles -- men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
World number one pair, Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeong Seong of South Korea head the men's doubles seeding, followed by Indonesian world champions Mohamad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan as second seeded while another South Korean's pair Kim Gi Jung/Kim Sa Rang and China's Fu Haifeng/Zhang Nan are seeded third and fourth respectively.
Women's doubles top seeding headed Japan's Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi, China's Tang Yuanting/Yu Yang, Indonesia's Greysia Polii/Nitya Krishinda Maheswari and South Korea's Jung Kyung Eun/Shin Seung Chan.
Defending champions, Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunle (China) lead the mixed doubles followed by South Korea's Ko Sung Hyun/Kim Ha Na, Malaysia Open winners Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir (Indonesia) and last year's Japan Open winners Joachim Fisher Nielsen/Chirstinna Pedersen are seeded third and fourth respectively.
