BMX legend Dave Mirra dies of apparent suicide

BMX LEGEND, Dave Mirra, was found dead in a truck with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in Greenville, North Carolina.
Greenville Police Department confirmed the incident on their Facebook page and said the truck was parked close to his former high school.
It was believed that Mirra was in town visiting a friend.
The actual cause of death was still being investigated.

Mirra leaves behind a wife, Lauren, and two daughters, Madison and Mackenzie.
A few hours before he was found dead, he posted a photo with his wife on Instagram, captioned "My rock! Thank God".
Mirra was one of the most decorated athletes in X Games history with a record of 24 medals to his name throughout his 13 years of participation in the event; 14 of which were gold.
He had also hosted two seasons of ‘Real World/Road Rules Challenge’ on MTV and had two video games that carried his name.
