Beng Hee smashed out of Motor City quarter final

National number one men's squash player Ong Beng Hee failed in his bid to defend his Motor City Open title as he did not get past the quarter-final match of the tournament held at Detroit, United States on Sunday.
The unseeded player, however, gave a strong fight against top seed, Mohamed El-Shorbagy of Egypt before he lost 11-5, 9-11, 6-11 and 12-14 in a gruelling 75- minute match, the tournament's website; www.squashsite.co.uk said.
The Egyptian, the 2011 champion, will meet compatriot Amr Shabana in the semi-final match scheduled Monday.
Shabana, the fourth seed cruised into the semi-final after he defeated Miguel Angel Rodriguez of Colombia 11-6, 11-7 and 11-3 in just 39 minutes.
The other semi-final match also sees two Egyptians, third seed Omar Mosaad and second seed, Karim Darwish.
Mossad booked his place after he defeated India's Saurav Ghosal 11-6, 11-8 and 11-8 while Darwish outplayed Steve Coppinger of South Africa 11-5, 11-4, 6-11 and 11-3.
