Secretary of Selangor BN assemblymen, Budiman Mohd Zohdi said they had several times raised questions and people's concern over the new entity.
Selangor Barisan Nasional (BN) state assemblymen expressed regret that no probe nor action has been taken against investment firm Darul Ehsan Investment Group (DEIG), raising doubts in the minds of various parties.
Secretary of Selangor BN assemblymen, Budiman Mohd Zohdi said they had several times raised questions and people's concern over the new entity which will manage the investments of subsidiary companies under the Menteri Besar Incorporated Selangor (MBI), but until now there has been no action.
"The authorities are aware of the alleged non-compliance and violation of the code of ethics the state government in the management of DEIG. Not only a press conference, but even a police report has been made.
"However, it is quite clear that no action has been taken nor does it seem will be taken by the authorities responsible. The is regrettable because it is as if the DEIG issue is not important in the affairs of the state administration," he said at a press conference at the Selangor UMNO building, Thursday.
He also urged Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali to explain the existence of the Zakat contribution of RM2.5 million from DEIG on July 12, whereas the besar had told that the new entity which was established in December last year was still not in operation.
The establishment of DEIG, wholly owned by MBI, has raised concerns of various parties including Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who in the new entity to be disclosed in the interest of the people of Selangor.
However, Azmin reportedly said the existence of DEIG has been known to all state assemblymen since its there was no room for doubts about the entity because information about it was presented during the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) last August.
was also reported to have said the entity was established to the business impact and risks directly on the state government and was yet to start operations and will not be involved in any transaction until early 2016.
