Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) has arranged for meetings with opposition parties including PAS and Pakatan Harapan to discuss some forms of cooperation.

Its President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said, the party has so far received positive response to begin negotiations.

"This is the first step. PAS has agreed to meet us. So is Pakatan Harapan," he said in a press conference here today when announcing the party's Supreme Leadership Council line-up.

According to him, discussion on the framework of cooperation is important in order to form a strong coalition to face Barisan Nasional in the 14th General Election.

"At the moment, many have agreed that the principle of one-on-one is important to defeat BN

"This is a good start," said Muhyiddin.

Asked when the meetings will be held, he said the date will be a secret.
