PPBM announces top leadership line-up

Former Election Commission chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman was today announced as one of three Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) vice-presidents.
Former Perak state excos Datuk Hamidah Osman and Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari were named as the other two while Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir was named deputy president.
Also appointed is former New Straits Times Press Berhad editor-in-chief Datuk Abdul Kadir Jasin, who is among the party’s 19 Supreme Leadership Council (MPT) members.
The announcement of the PPBM's top leadership was made at a media conference after the MPT meeting concluded at the Perdana Leadership Foundation here today.
"When I was invited to join the party struggle, I felt that I could contribute towards PPBM," Abdul Kadir said.
Besides him, those appointed as MPT members included former UMNO Youth exco Mohd Rafiq Naizamohideen and Akhramsyah Muammar Ubaidah Sanusi; Penang Perkasa chief Marzuki Yahya and Pertubuhan Pemikir Agenda Watan Malaysia (Pemikir) president Tan Sri Abd Aziz Mohd Yassin.
