MOHAMED AZMIN: PKR will decide in the next party meeting if we are going to attend the H60K rally in Kelantan.
Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has yet to decide if it will join the proposed Himpunan 60 Ribu (H60K), loosely dubbed the "green shirts" rally.
Its deputy president, Mohamed Azmin Ali said he was unsure if the party had received an invitation to attend the rally, to be held by PAS this Oct 17.
"I'm not sure if the secretary-general has received an invitation or not. We will discuss the matter in the next party meeting.
"Usually, the secretary-general manages such matters, and then we will discuss it in the party meeting," he told reporters after launching the Top Glove Tower in Setia Alam, here today.
The Selangor Menteri Besar refused to comment further on the matter.
On Sept 15, PAS Youth chief Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz, had announced that the rally, slated for Oct 17, would be held at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
PAS said anyone is welcomed to join their rally, including PKR, DAP and even Barisan Nasional (BN) parties.
Last week, the leader of the Coalition of Malay NGOs, Datuk Jamal Md Yunos, who led the Sept 16 "red shirts" rally, said he would likely ask his members to attend the H60K rally if the objective is to unite the Malays in the country.
