PKR deputy president, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali today lauded the announced formation of a joint-technical committee that is positive cooperation, understanding and dynamic between Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) and PAS.

Mohamed Azmin said the meeting by the leaders of both parties will produce positive resolutions in their effort to form a political pact in the 14th General Election (GE14).

The formation of the committee is a positive and ongoing move towards strengthening a two-part system, and to provide a political alternative which is dynamic, viable and strong for the rakyat.

“PKR will continue its cooperation with PAS and PPBM to strengthen the coalition of progressive political party and mobilise the people to triumph at the GE14,” said Mohamed Azmin in a statement here today.

“It is a demand for us to lead and with the wise and inclusive approach and putting aside the partisan attitude and ideology difference. This will form a strong and precise coalition to revive the integrity of the rakyat in our effort to save Malaysia.

The framework agreement between Pas and PPBM will be refined by the top leadership of both parties, which the presidents of both parties will sign soon, the statement said.

PAS and PPBM on Wednesday met for a closed-door meeting involving leaders of both parties. PPBM was represented by deputy president, Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir and PAS by deputy president, Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man and its vice president, Idris Ahmad.
