The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) today denied media reports that Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali is being investigated for corrupt practices.
PKNS public relations manager, Ishak Hashim in a statement said the corporation had not received any complaints of corruption or abuse of power by Azmin when he was a member of PKNS board.
He said, however, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) had the right to investigate and that PKNS was prepared to cooperate.
He said PKNS had the best corporate governance and was the first state economic development corporation to sign the Corporate Integrity Pledge (CIP) as implemented by companies and government agencies.
Recently, local media had reported that MACC was investigating Azmin on alleged misuse of funds while holding the board position.
