MIC division heads have been asked to raise their game to ensure government transformation programmes for the Indian community are carried out smoothly and without delay.
MIC president Datuk Seri Dr S.Subramaniam said by virtue of their position, they were the best people to execute this agenda and as such, should keep themselves updated on the latest developments and government policies.
"Although we at the top leadership level in the party have various plans for the community, they will come to nought without the commitment of division heads to implement them effectively," he said.
Subramanian, who is also Health Minister, told this to reporters after attending a strategic leadership seminar for the Indian community organised by the Special Implementation Task Force of the Cabinet Committee on Indian Affairs in the Prime Minister's Department, here today.
Some 100 MIC division heads are attending the three-day seminar which started yesterday.
Also present were Deputy Youth and Sports Minister and MIC vice-president Datuk M.Saravanan and Deputy Education Minister P.Kamalanathan.
