UMNO deputy president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin reminds the party leaders not to listen to political lackeys in evaluating the current political situation.

Instead, he stressed, a leader needs to be more responsible, taking into account the views of all parties, although there may be conflicting opinions.

“Sometimes we are surrounded by supporters, ‘It's okay, sir, things are so good', 'don't worry, sir, everything is okay, sir, yes, sir," said Muhyiddin when officiating the Pagoh UMNO divisional delegates meeting at Seri Pekembar Complex here today.

At the same event, Muhyiddin also stressed that UMNO should continue being the backbone of the country’s current leadership.

He said whatever happens, UMNO’s dignity should be honoured as it is the backbone to the party’s success.
