Voters here have been reminded not to be misled by the Opposition's seasonal issues to sow hatred towards the Barisan Nasional (BN) government.

UMNO vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein was however confident the BN machinery would be able to counter the lies spread by the Opposition.

"The momentum is good. This is based on my observation at several polling districts. We have to ensure that the voters come out to vote on June 18," he said after presenting contribution at Menora polling ditrict here, today.

Kuala Kangsar by-election is held following the death of Datuk Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad in a helicopter crash in Sebuyau, Sarawak, on May 5.

It will see a four-cornered fight between Datin Mastura Mohd Yazid (BN), Dr Najihatussalehah Ahmad (PAS), Prof Dr Ahmad Termizi (AMANAH) and Izat Bukhary Ismail Bukhary (Independent).

The constituency has 32,949 registered voters (including 312 early voters and five absentee voters).
