DAP must realise its victories after securing Malay votes in previous general elections were due to friendship with
PAS.
PAS vice-president Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah said despite it having been said that PAS was also able to hitch a lift from Chinese votes, he was confident that without PAS, DAP would not be able to obtain Malay votes at all.
"Logically, they are saying that if PAS breaks up with Pakatan, DAP is not with them... we cannot get the Chinese support and go to Putrajaya. However, they forget it is not the only way for us to get non-Malay votes.
"In Kelantan, no Chinese votes for the DAP. They only vote for PAS or Barisan Nasional because DAP does not contest here," he said in his speech when opening the 56th PAS Women Muktamar here today.
In the meantime, Mohd Amar stressed on the importance of complying with discipline and being obedient to leaders in the party so long as the leaders did not oppose Islam.
