KUALA LUMPUR: The government needs to take into account the views of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and the opposition bloc in the 2021 Budget before it is tabled in the Dewan Rakyat.
According to the Gopeng Member of Parliament, Dr Lee Boon Chye, bipartisan negotiations need to be conducted to ensure that the 2021 Budget meets the focus of helping the people and the country's economy.
"I hope there will be negotiations between two parties in terms of the government and the opposition bloc so that we can agree.
"So that there is a bipartisan in the 2021 Budget. This is important because we do not want the budget to fail and the people suffer and we also want the views of PH and the opposition bloc to be taken into account when tabling the 2021 Budget," he said in an interview with Astro AWANI.
Earlier, the PH Presidential Council informed that Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin must uphold the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's order for all Members of Parliament to support the 2021 Budget for the survival of the people and the country's economic recovery.
The 2021 Budget will be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat on November 6.
